Adventures in Daddyhood!

I’m the husband of Miss Trying Traditional, doing what I can to keep the dishes washed, the clothes cleaned (and put away), and in general, trying to figure out how to survive and excel in this life with 5 women (6, if you include the dog) all driving me nuts at the same time.  But, there’s no way I’d ever give any of them up.  I love them all, and I love how each are different from the rest.

Theological moment:

I know there’s a God and He has a sense of humor.  How do I know?  Easy.  I grew up with 3 brothers.  I know next to nothing about girls/women.  I don’t have a romantic bone in my body.  What do I end up with?  A house full of 6 females (again, including the dog)!  My wife I chose, but never once did I say, “Lord, give me daugthers a’plenty so I could see what I missed by not having sisters!”  And yet, here they all are.  And here am I.  Oh, yes, I know that the adventures are just beginning.

I try to post about things and events that I find unique to being a dad.  I don’t post much because 1) I’m busy (again, 6 females in the house.)  2) It takes me FOREVER to write even the simplest of posts, and 3) I don’t write unless I feel that I can make what I write worth your time to read (and worth my time to write).

So, enjoy, or not, it’s a free country.  Leave a reply, if you want.  Or not.  But rest assured, it’s all real whether I like it or not, and it’s always an ADVENTURE IN DADDYHOOD!
